This Week! In Star Wars: George Lucas & More
Happy George Lucas Day, everyone! Grab a milkshake from Mel’s, yell “Madmartigan!” and enjoy a Star Wars story from a galaxy far, far away.
Yes, yesterday was George Lucas’ birthday. The Maker, himself, was born 76-years ago in Modesto, CA.
And, I will say this, outside my home, there’s is nobody who has delivered more pure joy to this guy, than GL.
This Week! In Star Wars: May 14 – George Lucas
Star Wars is the gift that keeps on giving — especially every Thursday — when the Baver Bunch™ assembles for This Week! In Star Wars.
Mandalorian Season 2 Directors, We Celebrate a Birthday, and More!
This week in Star Wars, we get excited about Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez coming to The Mandalorian season 2 and we take a look at what you did on Star Wars Day. Plus, we celebrate the Maker’s birthday!
And, of course, the best thing about This Week! In Star Wars is that we get to take a look back at the week that was.
Thank You, Mr. Lucas. This Blue Milk Is for You.
First up, George’s B-day:

Dogfights in space and laser swords are fun, but *this* is what it takes to be a hero. Thank you for this reminder, and happy birthday, George Lucas! #StarWars pic.twitter.com/ryKr63bSkY

Happy Birthday to the always inspiring and most excellent of bosses, George Lucas. I keep a Rumph Chewbacca tankard from 1978, one of the very first #StarWars products and a favorite of George’s, on my desk to remind me of George and what Star Wars means to him. https://t.co/BwvhOnvtU4

I mean, think about it. Where would be without Star Wars?
Two New Directors for The Mandalorian, Season 2
We were pretty much all over the announcements by Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) and Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel) regarding their directing episodes from The Mandalorian Season 2.
Dude. Did you ever see Desperado? Sin City? The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl? COME ON! I can’t wait to see what Rodriguez brings to Star Wars. Same with Reed; Yes Man is a favorite. Ant-Man may be my favorite non-Iron Man MCU flick.
Just One More Look At May The 4th
