ICYMI: MickeyBlog.com Takes A Colorful Tour of Epcot
Even a gray day in Epcot can be full of color…
Greg and Elyssa Antonelle headed back to Epcot, albeit for a short walk around Walt Disney World’s second gate. MickeyBlog.com’s own chief blogger, Greg, said he just needed to get out of the house on a busy day.
We are very thankful for his and our respite from the “real world.”
Walking Into Future World
Greg sounded pretty happy to be enjoying the sights and sounds in and around Spaceship Earth as he walked in from the parking lot.
From a viewer’s standpoint, it’s fun to see the continued development of the park as it begins to take on more and more characteristics of the refurb plan.
That said, one wonders how long Spaceship Earth can continue in its current configuration.
I, for one, really enjoy the new signs and “retro-futuristic” font on the construction walls.
I got a real bang from Greg and Elyssa walking through these very colorful corridors leading toward World Showcase.
All will truly be right in WDW when the Epcot Monorail returns!
Making Our Way To World Showcase
This walkway toward and around the former Odyssey Restaurant (now the Epcot Experience) is one of the underrated stretches of stroll in the park.
The Harmonious barges are a little more “obvious” in World Showcase Lagoon than I would have imagined. What do you think of the new set pieces?
However, the always beautiful foliage continues to brighten any stream from Epcot.
Another view of the lagoon and the new barges.
Greg took us up and over this footbridge.
And these Venetian poles remind me of several of the new Mickey Mouse episodes.
Just like Nick from MagicalNewsLIVE, Greg gave viewers a gander of the Voices of Liberty.
But then, Elyssa arrived with a new limited edition MagicBand from Italy.
I am a huge Ratatoullie fan, so seeing Remy here is just a tease!
Looking across the waterway to the International Gateway and the Disney Skyliner.
I agree with Greg on this; I have no idea what is going on here.
Walking toward Epcot’s UK Pavilion…
…and Greg ran into one of his favorite things – a Disney World bird!
But you have to see the stream to fully appreciate all the nooks and crannies explored by the Antonelles.
So, sit back and enjoy the show:
