MickeyBlog is LIVE From EPCOT’s 2024 Flower & Garden Festival
Today is the first official day of the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival!
While EPCOT’s previous festival was all about the arts, the Flower & Garden Festival celebrates nature through food, topiaries, flowers, butterflies, and more. We’re at the festival today and you can follow along with us LIVE!
This post will be updated throughout the day, so make sure you keep checking back with MickeyBlog for more details. Let’s jump right in!
Festival Dates
The 2024 Flower & Garden Festival lasts from February 28th to May 27th, 2024, which gives you about three months to enjoy this festival.
Although February doesn’t feel like spring for many of us living in cold areas, it certainly is spring in EPCOT during this flower-filled festival!
EPCOT Hours
On February 28th, EPCOT will be open from 9AM to 9PM, with Early Theme Park Entry beginning at 8:30AM. (Early Theme Park Entry applies to guests staying in qualifying Disney World hotels.)
Admittance to the festival is included in your valid park admission (ticket, Annual Pass, etc.), but you also need to schedule a Park Reservation if you don’t have a date-based ticket.
Note that February 28th is designated as a “good-to-go” day for Annual Passholders, meaning a Park Reservation is not required.
Remember that guests with date-based tickets no longer need Park Reservations in Disney World, and you can now Park Hop all day with a qualifying Park Hopper ticket or Annual Pass!
Also, keep in mind that while EPCOT opens at 9AM, the food booths don’t usually open until 11AM.
Festival Passport
The ultimate festival guide and souvenir is the Festival Passport, a completely free booklet filled with everything you need to know about the festival.

The Festival Passport can be found at kiosks around EPCOT and at each food booth.
Inside the passport, you’ll find tons of information!
You can read about food booths and menus…
…entertainment…
…merchandise…
…and more.
It’s not quite booth opening time yet, so let’s stop by Creations Shop to check out the new festival merchandise!
Merchandise
Creations Shop is the spot to visit for new festival merchandise. On the first day of the festival, there’s usually a crowd waiting to enter the store, and today was no exception.
There are four new collections released for the 2024 Flower & Garden Festival, and you can check out everything by clicking here.
Some of our favorites included this new Orange Bird Spirit Jersey…
…an Orange Bird Lug Bag…
…new Orange Bird Festival Ears…
…Orange Bird Loungefly Backpack…
…and lots more! Click here to see ALL the new festival merchandise!
Food & Drinks
This year, there are almost 20 “outdoor kitchens” (aka booths) and over 60 new items to try! Today we were able to visit Brunchcot…
…Hanami…
…and lots more!
Garden Graze
Who wants to earn a free prize by eating food? 🙋♀️ The Garden Graze allows guests to purchase and eat five qualifying dishes (out of eight possible) to earn a free treat.
Each dish for the Garden Graze is plant-based, and all eight options come from different booths.
You collect stamps in your Festival Passport when you purchase a qualifying dish. Simply give your Passport to the Cast Member at the booth when you make your purchase.
When you collect all five stamps, you can visit Pineapple Promenade for a free surprise! This year, the prizes include a pack of Wildflower Mix seeds…
…and a Dole Whip Lime treat (made with Minute Maid Lemonade and Mango Smoothie Mix) in a souvenir cup.
You can read more about the Garden Graze here!
Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration
There are two official scavenger hunts available during the Flower & Garden Festival, although the Egg-Stravaganza Hunt will not debut for a few more weeks.
But Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is active now! You can search EPCOT for Spike the Bee on your own, or participate officially by purchasing a gameboard for $9.99.
You can find the map and stickers at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler.
Spike can be found in various spots around EPCOT, typically around flowers. When you find him, put a sticker in the correct spot on the map!
Redeem your map for a prize at Disney Traders, Creations Shop, or World Traveler. These are the prizes, which are mini cornhole games!
(Note that you don’t have to find every Spike nor do you have to get every sticker in the right spot to redeem for your prize.)
Topiaries
One of the key features of the Flower & Garden Festival is all the topiaries that spring up around EPCOT. In fact, there are over 70 different topiaries in 2024!
