NEWS: 3 Magic Kingdom Lands Are CLOSED Due to “Technical Difficulties”
Like any other theme park, Disney World occasionally experiences a variety of closures. These can range from planned refurbishments to ride malfunctions to power outages and more, but sometimes a sudden closure still surprises us.
During a visit to Magic Kingdom today, we came across a BIG closure — and here’s what we know.
Liberty Square, Adventureland, and Frontierland Closed
After we headed into a very crowded Magic Kingdom today, we noticed something was off.
When we tried to enter Adventureland, a row of Cast Members let us know that the land was closed.
The entrance to Liberty Square was also blocked, and Frontierland was closed as well.
The My Disney Experience app also reflects these land closures, with 10 rides closed as a result.
According to Cast Members we spoke to, Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square are closed due to “technical difficulties.”
We have seen land closures in the past due to power outages, but from what we could see, the lights were on in Liberty Square.
Cast Members seemed to be in good spirits in spite of the closures.
While these land closures are inconvenient for visitors this morning, remember to always be kind and patient with Cast Members.
We aren’t totally sure what caused these land closures but we’re staying in Magic Kingdom this morning to keep you updated!
UPDATE: According to reports, a bear was the cause behind these closures! We’re keeping our eyes peeled for more details.
According our source, a BEAR was found this morning inside Magic Kingdom Park. Want to know how this discovery was made? A cast member walked the caves in Tom Sawyer’s Island and there it was. CAN YOU IMAGINE? 😳 https://t.co/oD1IhqMyiX

UPDATE 2: Around 12:30PM, all three lands reopened, while Tom Sawyer Island remains closed. Reportedly, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission staff is working on relocating the bear!
