NEWS: Magic Kingdom Lands Reopen After Bear Incident
It’s been quite the day in Magic Kingdom!!

Liberty Square Closed
This morning, Magic Kingdom opened with half of the park closed — including Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square. After we were told these closures were due to “technical difficulties,” it was later revealed that they were due to a bear in the park (yes, really). Now we have an update!
Adventureland Now Open
Around 12:30PM, Adventureland reopened to excited guests.

Adventureland is open!
Many guests streamed into Adventureland, which had been closed since the park opened at 9AM (or 8:30AM for guests staying in Disney World hotels).

Liberty Square also reopened, although the Hall of Presidents and Liberty Square Riverboat remain closed at the time of writing.
Over in Adventureland, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean are now open.

Frontierland also reopened!

Initially, the bridge leading to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was closed, as was the ride itself.

However, just prior to 1PM, Big Thunder opened to guests.

Tom Sawyer Island remains closed at the time of writing.

…but it has also reopened! Of course, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is not expected to open until 2024.

According to an earlier statement from Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, staff is on the scene working to relocate the bear.
UPDATE: Florida Fish & Wildlife is on the scene in the Magic Kingdom and has released a statement! ⬇️

Disney later issued a statement: “We are working with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and have made the decision to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland.”
Staff are still reportedly working on relocating the bear.
