Mama Odie is Back!
For those that may have missed the Mama Odie news, we can confirm that the character will have an exciting role. As you can see from the newly released concept art, Mama Odie will be on hand to joke with guests and offer up a special display of her magic.
Familiar Faces From the Bayou
Mama Odie won’t be alone! You’ll be able to see her along with her eccentric belongings. Among them is her “seeing-eye” snake named juju.
Jenifer Lewis Reprises Her Role
Today, Disney confirmed the exciting news that Jenifer Lewis who originated the voice of Mama Odie will be returning to voice the role for the attraction.

New Orleans Artist Brings the Inspiration
New Orleans Artist and YAYA Arts Center alumna Sharika Mahdi has created the next installment in a commissioned series. The piece featured at the top of this article was created to provide inspiration to Imagineers on how Mama Odie should be represented throughout the attraction.

Disney also revealed today that a brand-new cast of characters with distinct names and personalities will be a part of the new attraction.

Get ready for a Jumbalaya of fabulous tunes. Today, Disney shared the news that the attractions will feature the songs you’ve come to know and love from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure along with some fabulous tunes created especially for the attraction.

Beloved Characters Return
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature a wide array of characters you’ve come to know and love. Not only does this include Tiana and Mama Odie but you’ll also want to be on the lookout for Eudora, Charlotte, Big Daddy, The King and Queen of Maldonia, and Prince Ralphie.
The Cast Returns
We are so delighted to hear that many members of the original Princess and the Frog cast will be returning to reprise their roles for the attraction. This includes Bruno Campos (Prince Naveen), Michael Leon Wooley (Louis), and Disney Legend Anika Noni Rose (Princess Tiana.)

Don’t miss Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when it opens at Walt Disney World and Disneyland at some point in 2024. The attraction, which is replacing Splash Mountain will build on the story of Princess Tiana, a member of Disney Royalty that reminds us of a universal truth – within us lies the potential to make our dreams come true! Just a reminder that to make room for this new attraction, Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World is currently closed. The Disneyland version of the attraction will be closed beginning May 31, 2023.
