It’s Just Another Manic Monday at the Magic Kingdom this Morning!
If you’re planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom today, be ready for quite the kerfuffle. The new week has barely begun, and already the park has been flooded with high crowd levels of guests, all eager to experience that Monday-morning Disney magic.
Want to see how busy we’re talking? Keep reading, and let’s check it out!
This morning, as our MickeyBlog reporters approached the Magic Kingdom via the monorail, we were met with surprise.
The fresh, autumnal sky overhead was clear and shining, but the Magic Kingdom entranceway walkways were quite the opposite!
Yep, these images show the huge lines of guests waiting to enter the Magic Kingdom this morning, lining up patiently even before the park’s gates officially opened.
It sure does look like it’s going to be a busy one on Main Street, U.S.A. today!
In our experience, the length of these queues is quite surprising, especially since they’re reaching all the way back to the monorail station.
So, what’s causing these high crowd levels, and why are they all here on a Monday?
Well, before we dissect the situation, it’s worth saying that it’s very hard to accurately predict Disney Park crowd levels, especially in recent months. It was only this summer we were shocked by the surprising lack of attendance during the 4th of July weekend, while most of us are geared up for hustle and bustle during the vacation season.
But, with that being said, let’s get back to looking at today’s crowds!
In the expert opinion of our MickeyBlog reporters, it’s true that Monday is currently among the busiest days at Magic Kingdom, presumably among guests looking to start their week in the most fabulous way possible.
That explains some crowds, but the other reason we believe we’re seeing these levels is because last night (September 17th) saw one of the fan-favorite Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties, also at the Magic Kingdom.
Whether these guests are returning to the park to keep the spooky party going – or just to see if there’s any rogue candies left laying around – we can’t say. But, the increased attendance around party season is sure to lead to an influx of guests in the Magic Kingdom park!
Today, the Magic Kingdom opens to guests at 9am, with early entry at 8.30 for guests staying at Disney Resort hotels. It will close tonight at 10pm.
So, if you’re headed down to experience the magic this morning, be sure to allow plenty of time. It looks busy, but we’re sure you’ll still have the most fun-filled day!
