ALL 50th Decorations Finally Removed from Cinderella Castle
Can you believe we’re STILL talking about Disney World’s 50th Anniversary? No, we can’t either.
The celebrations kicked off on October 1st of 2021, so over a year and a half ago. It then ran from then until this past March.
We have seen most of the decorations for the festivities be removed by now, but one major thing remained — the decor on Cinderella Castle. Until today, that is!
All 50th Decor Removed
All of the 50th Anniversary decorations have officially been removed from Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom! We only saw one ribbon remaining yesterday, and now it’s finally gone.
The 50th Anniversary celebrations wrapped up at the end of March, so it’s taken a little over a month and a half for these decorations to all be removed. It’s understandable, since you need pretty serious equipment to get up to the top of the castle!
Here’s another look:

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty happy to see the castle returning closer to its original form! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the 50th Anniversary celebrations, but I love the simpler look of the castle.
I personally was NOT a big fan of the bright blue and pink that Cinderella Castle was painted for the anniversary. The pink has definitely faded, and I’m really hoping we can get the castle back to that gorgeous and classy grey and blue look it had for decades.
But hey, can’t complain too much, because at least the castle wasn’t given a completely drastic makeover like it was for the 25th Anniversary. The birthday cake castle will haunt my dreams.
So, goodbye to the 50th! You were fun, you were long, you were perhaps a bit anticlimactic — but we enjoyed you anyway.
Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
