Who is ready to blast off with MickeyBlog for lunch!
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog, you’ll now that it’s opening date at Space 200.
After a lengthy wait, cast members came out to post the menu. Here’s a look at the goodies on offer!
As you can see, both two course and three course menus are being offered!
The line finally starts to move! We’re going in Disney friends. Check out our video below!
We were brought round to a check-in location.
Here we are getting a warm greeting from cast (and crew!)
Everyone seemed so excited that the restaurant had finally opened.
But, we don’t envy these cast members the task of getting this massive line of people seated today.
The check in features a view of the elevator that is supposed to take you up to your orbiting dining room.
Here’s the signage as we hang out in the boarding area.
This is a pretty bustling area and you can see the elevators just behind.
We’re getting a big thumbs up meaning that it’s almost time to go!
We love how much this dining experience feels like an actual attraction.
Here we are getting waved on by the crew.
The cast members were terrific and actually seemed really calm despite the chaos of a large crowd of guests arriving.
Our names were finally called!
Here’s AB giving us a big thumbs up!
When you board the elevator, it’s pretty amazing!
You get a view of both what the skies look like as you head toward orbit.
Along with the world (more specifically EPCOT) slipping away underneath you.
We absolutely loved this part of the experience. It was so realistic!
Here you can see us inching further and further away from EPCOT.
The imagery is so impressive!
Once we arrive at our destination, we walk through the entrance.
As you walk down the corridor you pass the a chamber where you can see vegetables being grown in space.
We thought this was a really fun touch!
It really lends itself to the whole atmosphere!
Now its time to enter the dining room and we can’t wait!
The whole arrival process is such a grand experience.
The dark corridors are lined with neon accents.
That’s the dining room straight ahead and our first glimpse of the panoramic windows!
Here’s a look at the paper menus handed out during your visit.
This is definitely an area where you would benefit from window seating. The dining room is large and some tables are further back.
However, the dining room itself is curved so sightlines are pretty good.
Our table awaits!
The view varies depending where in the eatery you are sitting.
Those in the center of the windowed are get views of Earth. Our views were more of space!
Throughout your dining experience you’ll see things pass by in space from a satellite to the space shuttle pictured above.
Here’s a look at the bar area!
And another look at the dining room which we can simply not get enough of!
Our server was Thalia and she was AMAZING!
Here’s a look at the place setting. One thing we thought was cool is that there’s trading cards that kids can collect when they visit!
There is no better place to soak up the atmosphere while you wait for your food!
This dining room was completely packed by the time we ordered!
Here’s one of those cute satellites in orbit.
It’s time for drinks!
