All 50th Anniversary Banners Now Removed from Main Street, U.S.A.
There’s nary a trace of the 50th anniversary left at the Magic Kingdom, as all the banners have now been removed from Main Street, U.S.A!
Yes, for the past few days now, MickeyBlog has been closely watching the disappearance of all traces of the 50th anniversary celebrations from around Walt Disney World, with everything from paper cups to huge castle signage slowly being removed or replaced.
While enjoying a stroll through the Magic Kingdom today, our MickeyBloggers noticed that the commemorative banners which once lined Main Street, U.S.A. have now also been removed. These were one of the last anniversary features to go, so it definitely feels like the celebrations have concluded for good!
As you can see from these photos, all the lamps and stores are now plain, after having sported snazzy, “EAR-idescent”-colored flags bearing the “50th” logo throughout the anniversary period.
If you think it looks a bit strange without the flags, don’t worry – we do too!
Considering they were originally installed all the way back in September 2021, we’ve all grown very accustomed to seeing them each time we visit the park. It’s strange not having them here now!
However, although we do feel sad about this change, we have to remember that this is Walt Disney World.
There’s always something new and magical brewing up here, and we can’t wait to see what next exciting adventures and events are in-store for us at the Magic Kingdom. We’ll never be missing anything for too long!
How do you feel about the flag removal at the Magic Kingdom? Are you sad about it, or do you think the loss just serves as a fun indication of brighter things to come?
