Disney Speedstorm Racing to a Gaming Console Near You!
A brand new collaboration between Gameloft, Disney and Pixar Games has been announced! The video game, called Disney Speedstorm, was unveiled at the D23 Expo.
What We Know
Disney Speedstorm is described as a “hero-based combat racing game featuring iconic Disney and Pixar heroes and villains.” It is set against racetracks inspired by worlds from both Disney and Pixar.
Players will have the opportunity to choose their own high-speed driver and master that character’s unique racing skills. Racetracks in Disney Speedstorm will range from the docks of Pirates of the Carribbean’s Pirate Island to The Jungle Book’s Jungle Ruins map.
The first season will feature characters from Monsters Inc., including James P. Sullivan (“Sully”), Mike Wazowski, Celia, and the game’s very first villain, Randall. A Monsters, Inc. themed track will accompany the characters. The track will include areas from the Scare Floor, the Door factory and even Monsters University.
Disney Speedstorm intends to regularly update with seasonal content, new racers, new tracks and more.
Players may choose to race through action-packed racetracks on their own, or challenge friends with both local and remote mutliplayer modes. There is even an option to challenge players from around the globe!

Coming Soon!
We don’t have an exact release date just yet, but it has been strongly suggested that Disney Speedstorm will become available before the end of the year.
We know the game will be available on consoles, including Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, as well as on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store.
Disney Speedstorm will be available for free with plenty of in-app purchaes to enhance user experience. Many have speculated the game will feature a battle pass system similar to Fortnite. Such a system allows players to unlock tiers of free content, as well as paid content, that will have an impact on the game’s outcome.
