Sans Sling, Harrison Ford Steps Out In London
Indiana Jones showed few signs of slowing down on walk through London minus the sling…
The web remains chock-full of stories about the demise of Indy 5’s shooting schedule.
In fact, some say the European Indiana Jones shoot won’t be back on track until September; two months hence.
However, the empirical evidence suggests otherwise.
Ford On The Mend: Harrison Ford Steps Out
Check out the photos below:
Harrison looks annoyed (as usual), but not bad for just after surgery.
For MailOnline, Laura Fox posted:
Harrison Ford has been seen without his sling for the first time since injuring his shoulder while rehearsing a fight scene for Indiana Jones 5.
The aging star, 78, cut a casual figure as he stepped out for a stroll with a pal in London on Sunday after his injury forced filming to be delayed by three months.
Despite sparking fears he may require surgery to fix his shoulder injury, Harrison already seems to be well on the road to recovery as he headed out for a walk.
Er, sorry, wrong franchise.
“I’m like a bad penny,” said Indiana Jones. “I always turn up.”
That’s better.
BTW: Ford Get Injured, Often
As you may recall, on June 23, we posted about Ford’s injury, writing:
Firstly, typical: Harrison Ford injured (or sickened) while doing an action sequence. Happened before; it will happen again. In fact, one of the most iconic moments in franchise history — the duel with the swordsman in Raiders of the Lost Ark — happened because Ford fell ill (with dysentery) while filming the sequence. So, Harrison asked to cut the scene short.
Meanwhile, we added:
In an exclusive, Deadline reported:
Harrison Ford hurt himself rehearsing a fight scene in Indiana Jones 5, sources tell Deadline. The extent of his injury wasn’t immediately known, but it involves his shoulder. Director James Mangold will continue to shoot around him while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated. The filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks. Disney has set the Lucasfilm action thriller for a July 29, 2022 release date.
Of course, we also reported that James Mangold, the director, tweeted:
We’re all good. Shooting! But thanks!

Meanwhile, on July 4, a street in Glasgow was done up to look like 1960s New York City, presumably for Indy 5 shots.
So, what’s the point, John?
The point remains: Read the news. Read it again. And let the story happen.
One way or another, next year Indiana Jones rides again.
But what do you think? Is the Indy 5 shoot okay? Will the movie arrive on time? Let us know in the comments below.
