Ming-Na Wen Says, “Dream it, dream it big, and just believe…”
Ming-Na Wen says she connected with Luke Skywalker as a girl….
We’ve talked a lot about a lot in this space; the twin suns scene in Star Wars: A New Hope and its various callbacks (call forwards?) during the Skywalker Saga.
The scene just evokes a general sense of “This can’t be it. Can it?”

Looking toward the horizon away from his childhood home — the only home he’s ever known — Luke looks (with new hope) toward an unknown future, even as the binary stars set on Tatooine.
That scene is very important to many fans, whether they’re looking beyond the cow pastures and tobacco fields of their New England hometown or they’re Ming-Na Wen, a future Disney princess, Marvel agent, and Star Wars bounty hunter looking toward a better future.
A Look Back At Ming-Wen

Again, we love Ming-Na around these parts, so getting to “discuss Star Wars with” the actor — who plays Fennec Shand on The Mandalorian and the upcoming The Book of Boba Fett just makes life better.
The details are FINE!!!!

Twin Suns, Two Scenes
Speaking to Digital Spy, Wen explained that as one of “maybe two or three Asians” in her very white neighborhood, growing up she felt like an outsider.
So, that specific scene, with Luke Skywalker feeling like he wanted more out of life than his current surroundings might provide, hit home.

“I connected so much with Luke Skywalker, especially that double sunset binary scene – when he’s looking out at the sunset, wondering what he’s going to do with his life; if he’s going to be able to follow his dreams,” said Wen to Digital Spy. “So that has stayed with me forever…”
Ms. Wen will never forget a corresponding image – to share a scene with Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian, at the end of Season 2.
“It doesn’t feel like it’s my life, in a way, because I’m living my fantasy, to be in a scene with Mark, with Luke Skywalker,” she said. “It’s just beyond belief.”
This is NOT the first time that Ming-Na Wen has gushed about the chance to share a scene with Mark Hamill.

Ming-Na Wen Says…
And then Ming-Na seemed to channel Walt Disney when she gave a pep talk to everyone hoping to follow their own fantasy.
“I always say to everybody: anything can happen. If you dream it, dream it big, and just believe in making it come true.”
Damn! I love my Mingalings!❤️🥰❤️ https://t.co/T8OvrikqQ8
