Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand, Animated!
The Bad Batch features a familiar assasin – Fennec Shand….
This is kind of an “In Case You Missed It” item. And you very well could have missed it because this first look at Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand flew by on an Instagram story, earlier this week.
However, our beloved Ms. Wen seemed to give her confirmation with a March 4 tweet.
“I never miss.”

Now, despite Ming-Na’s note, not everyone was convinced about the look of the character:

However, seeing the character at the higher of her powers works just find for this guy.
And Eul Basa fo GameRant seemed to agree:
In anticipation of the series’ debut, Lucasfilm dropped a first-look image at the animated version of Shand on their Instagram stories. Sporting the same black attire and trademark ponytail that she had in The Mandalorian, the image received mixed reactions online, with some people questioning the ‘Tomb Raider-like’ quality of the animation… Nevertheless, fans are still excited to see how Shand’s story will unfold in The Bad Batch.
#Truth. But, GameRant.com also correctly reminds fans that we’ll be seeing a lot of Fennec in the next year or so.
First she’ll be in The Bad Batch (May 4) and then The Book of Boba Fett (December), the live-action spinoff of The Mandalorian.
Of course, seeing Wen act in Star Wars is a joy. She is one of the world’s biggest fans of The Saga, as well.
Woah!!#TheBadBatch premieres May 4th!! I’m crying! 👏🏼😭Cannot wait to see it!🥰

And, of course, StarWars.com reported:
Wen was even the president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Club in high school, she notes. “That’s what I loved. That’s what I daydreamed about. I wanted to be Luke Skywalker. I wanted to be Han Solo – wanted to be Leia. They were all different parts of me that I wished I could be.”
Now, surely, there are little fans around the world who wish to be Ming-Na Wen.
