Jason Kelce Officially Joins ESPN
Late last month, we reported that former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was set to join ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown as an analyst.
While ESPN chose not to confirm the report at the time, today, as part of The Walt Disney Company’s upfronts in New York, the Worldwide Leader in Sports announced that it had reached a multi-year agreement with Kelce to join the networks’ NFL telecasts.

Kelce will join Monday Night Countdown each week leading into Monday Night Football throughout the regular season. He will also contribute to ESPN’s Super Wild Card and Divisional Round playoff coverage.
Kelce Will Join ESPN’s NFL Team
The six-time All-Pro will also be a member of ESPN’s Super Bowl studio coverage, including Super Bowl LXI, which will air on ABC and ESPN in February 2027.

“Jason is a highly respected, Super Bowl Champion with a strong connection to fans,” said Burke Magnus, ESPN President of Content. “Walking off the field and immediately to ESPN, viewers will benefit from his perspective which has been shaped through his years as an established locker room leader and a future Hall of Fame center. Jason’s addition to Monday Night Countdown will greatly strengthen our NFL coverage.”
Robert Griffin III Is Out on ‘Monday Night Countdown’
On Monday Night Countdown, Kelce will join Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, Adam Schefter, and Michelle Beisner-Buck. The former Eagle will replace Robert Griffen III on the panel.

“Turns out, it was a short retirement! I’m excited to join ESPN, and particularly the Monday Night Countdown team,” Kelce said.

“ESPN was a consistent presence in our household growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love of all sports. To now appear on that same screen is a full circle moment. And, I mean it’s freaking ‘Monday Night Football’ and I’m ready for some football.”
Kelce Has Media Experience
Despite only having been retired from the NFL for a couple of months, Kelce is no stranger to the media. He currently hosts the popular New Heights podcast with his brother Jason.
Last year, Kelce participated in the NFL Broadcasting and Media Workshop and appeared on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football during his bye week.
