Every good fairy tale needs a great villain, doesn’t it? Over the years, Disney has given us some truly fabulous schemers, from Aladdin‘s Jafar to Fantasia‘s Chernabog.

Naturally, Disney fans love to celebrate the darker side of their favorite tales, and the Disney Villains have developed quite a following as a result.
From Villain backstory films like 2014’s Maleficient to Villains merchandise, Villains book series, and even a Villainous board game, Disney has certainly leaned into the popularity of its most nefarious villains.

Unfortunately, the ONE place we experience Disney Villains withdrawal is inside the Disney Parks.

Sure, there’s plenty of Disney Villains merch available around the parks. You can interact with the Evil Queen at Storybook Dining at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and guests can meet with various villains during hard-ticketed events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash.

But if you’re looking for an official Disney Villain meet-and-greet inside the Disney Parks, you’ll find yourself disappointed.
While you might be treated to a surprise appearance by one of Disney’s most sinister squad, you won’t find a scheduled Villain meet-and-greet at Disney World or Disneyland Resort.

Featuring iconic Disney Villains like Maleficent, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Gaston, the reel posted by Disney Parks is set to the soundtrack of the popular “Boo to You” Halloween parade, which runs as part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom.

While the music hints at Disney Villain appearances at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash, there’s also the possibility that Disney is teasing scheduled Disney Villain meet-and-greets in the Disney Parks.
With rumors swirling about the possibility of a Disney Villains-themed expansion in Magic Kingdom, anything is possible!
