Jeremy Renner Discusses What He Would Like To Do Next as Hawkeye
Just over a year after a snow plow accident that left him in critical condition, Jeremy Renner is ready for his comeback.
While Renner has played many significant roles during his Hollywood career, he is probably best known for his turn in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), playing Clint Barton/Hawkeye.

Debuting as the character in 2011’s Thor, Renner would go on to reprise his now iconic role in Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow, and the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
What Would Renner Like Hawkeye to Do Next?
Still, if Renner gets his way, we will see him suit up as Hawkeye again.
In an interview with Comicbook.com, Renner was asked where he would like to see his character go next, considering everything the actor has been through.

“Flexibility,” Renner answered with a laugh. “I’m stretching as we talk about this. Like, no joke. Yeah. I don’t know. I leave the storytelling and the narrative to the writers and all that. But I do love the character, and if they called and asked for me to do it, I’ll be prepared. Feige, I’m stretching right now, my guy!”
Renner’s Return Would Be Extra Meaningful
As we have discussed before, Hawkeye’s return to the MCU would have extra meaning in light of Renner’s near-fatal accident.
Hopefully, Renner’s recovery will continue, and we will see the actor don his iconic Avengers uniform soon. By the sound of things, Renner is on the road to recovery and looking forward to rejoining the MCU.
