A Year After His Near-Fatal Accident Jeremy Renner is Set to Return to Work
Marvel star Jeremy Renner has reached a major milestone in his recovery from a near-fatal snowplow accident — the actor is heading back to work.
A year after the accident almost took his life, Renner is set to head back to the set of Mayor of Kingstown to film its third season.
A Near-Fatal Accident
On January 1, 2023, Renner was involved in a life-threatening accident after saving his nephew from being hit by a snowplow.
The actor was run over by his own Sno-Cat, which weighed at least 14,330 pounds. While he survived the incident, Renner was put in the hospital with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.
A Lot to Live For
During the CNN New Year’s Eve special, Renner talked to Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper about all he has to live for.
“We have a lot to celebrate this year,” Renner said. “I’m so blessed that I had so many things to live for. I have a giant family, a 10-year-old daughter. I would have disappointed and messed up a lot of people’s lives if I passed. There’s a lot for me to fight for. Recovery is a one-way road in my mind. I still work hard every day.”
During the interview, Renner also revealed that he would be returning to work.
“It’s been a wonderfully busy year,” he said. “I think I’m ready and I think I’m strong enough. I literally go back in a week.”
While Renner still has a tough journey ahead of him, hopefully, we will see the Hawkeye star on the screen again soon.
