Construction Update: More Flowers and Foliage Added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom
It’s been a year(!) since Splash Mountain began its transformation into the highly-anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — and it seems that more flowers and foliage are added to the attraction every day!
In the past year, we’ve seen dramatic changes including colorful murals, Mama Odie’s magical bottles, and of course, the impressive tiara-topped Tiana Foods water tower.
But if there’s one element that’s really transformed the barren peaks of Splash Mountain into the beautiful, blooming hill it’s become, it’s the massive amounts of flowers and foliage that have been added to the attraction.
On a recent visit to Frontierland, our team spotted even more fabulous foliage! Let’s check it out!
More Flowers and Foliage
We’ve watched for months as construction crews installed gorgeous greenery atop the Tiana Foods salt mine. The new trees, blooms, and green grass make for a soft, rolling-hill effect.
But it stands to reason that the attraction’s iconic water tower deserves a little love, too!
This week, more foliage appeared at the base of the tower. The additional greenery allows the tower to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
When Will Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Open?
Disney previously announced that the new attraction is scheduled to open sometime in 2024.
Information on the attraction’s interior progress is scarce. So far, we know that the ride will feature new music, cutting-edge animatronics, and even brand-new faces!
Intel on the interior may be limited, but the outside of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has seen numerous significant changes.
As work continues and the attraction careens toward its inevitable opening day, we can’t help but feel the excitement!
