Construction Update: More Changes At Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom
We’ve seen lots of changes at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom over the past few weeks, and we’ve even gotten a first look at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merchandise.
From additional greenery and new electrical boxes to the removal of the Laughin’ Place play area, recent progress has been both swift and noticeable.
We’ve even seen the installation of Mama Odie’s glowing lanterns at the top of the mountain, just before the big drop!
More work continued this week, albeit in smaller, subtler ways. Let’s check out what’s new!
More Changes at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
In case you missed it, Splash Mountain closed in January 2023 and the attraction is currently being transformed into an all-new, Tiana-inspired adventure. While the theming, decor, music, and storyline will all change, the original ride track will remain intact.
While the recent changes have sparked lots of excitement among Disney fans, there’s still lots of work to do before opening day — and not all of it’s flashy or glamorous!
For instance, MickeyBlog reporters spotted these planters blocking off the pathway to the nearby restrooms.
According to a helpful cast member, the path closure is only temporary as crews complete work behind the scenes.
Additionally, our team noticed more changes at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure down by the Frontierland railroad station.
Our team noticed that new rock decor has been installed along these walls.
While these smaller changes may seem insignificant, every small step is a step closer to opening day!
When Will Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Open?
As we approach the first anniversary of Splash Mountain’s closure in Magic Kingdom, Disney fans eagerly await news of the new attraction’s opening date.
Only Disney knows when the attraction will officially open, but we expect the ride to debut sometime in 2024. Stay tuned to MickeyBlog for all the latest!
