Lunar New Year Celebration Will Return To Disneyland in 2022
Who is ready for the Year of the Tiger in 2022!? We are and according to some awesome news shared this morning – so is Disneyland! Disney California Adventure announced that their annual Lunar New Year Celebration will be making a return next year from January 21 – February 13, 2022 and we’ve got some initial details on what visitors can expect.

Lunar New Year, Jan. 21 – Feb. 13, 2022
You won’t want to miss this joyous celebration commemorating the traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. Each year, the festival is filled with multicultural performances, special activities, culinary delights, beautiful décor, celebratory merchandise and so much more!
2022 will be all about the Year of the Tiger with the beloved Tigger joining in on the fun along with other characters including Mulan, Mushu, Mickey, Minnie and the Three Little Pigs. All of our Disney friends will be donning their special Lunar New Year attire.
We’ve got an awesome new addition to the festivities to share with you for next year! Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon will also be there to greet guests for the very first time at Disneyland Resort! How amazing is that !? You’ll even be able to see her in a setting inspired by the native Kumandra which will be recreated in the Redwood Creek challenge Trail!
We are also pleased to report that “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” will return for 2022. This bright/bold performance is simply not-to-be-missed and will be hosted by Mulan and her dragon Mushu. The parade will feature dozens of performers honoring family, friendship and the potential for a fortune-filled new year.
Live musical entertainment will be enjoyed at the Paradise Garden Bandstand!
For your convenience, Disney California Adventure will also be bringing back the Sip and Savor Pass so that you can taste your way through the four Lunar New Year marketplaces. All will feature delicious Asian treats!
There will also be special Lunar New Year-inspired food and beverage offerings at select locations throughout the theme park!
