Bad Weather Causing Delays at Orlando International Airport
Things don’t always go to plan on your Disney World vacation. You can encounter issues like rides being down, super long wait times, or bad weather.
Today, Central Florida is expecting some severe weather, including storms and high winds. And now, that weather is impacting air travel in the area.
Bad Weather Impacting Orlando Airport
Orlando International Airport shared on X that airline operations could be impacted due to the bad weather today. This includes things like baggage delivery delays as well as flight delays.

If you’re traveling through MCO today, continue to check in with your airline to check on your flight’s status. As of this writing, the FAA says that departures out of MCO are delayed an average of 75 minutes and are increasing.
There is a line of strong storms headed toward Central Florida today. It should be affecting the area the most around this afternoon moving into the evening.
A state of emergency has been declared in almost 50 counties due to the expected bad weather, including Orange County, where Orlando International Airport is located. There will be storms with strong winds and heavy rains with the possibility of tornadoes.
