NEWS: Part of Frontierland is Closed in Magic Kingdom
UPDATE: Frontierland, including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, has now reopened.
You can do as much planning as possible for your Disney world trip, but things can still go wrong! Rides can shut down, the weather can cause issues, transportation options can be limited, and more.
EPCOT Monorail is closed
Sometimes, there are even entire sections of the parks that are temporarily shut down. And, that’s what’s happening today — part of Magic Kingdom is closed.
Frontierland Closed
The bridges in Frontierland leading to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Walt Disney World Railroad station are closed right now in Magic Kingdom. This means the entire areas beyond the bridges are closed as well.
Big Thunder Mountain is closed right now and even though My Disney Experience says otherwise, the Railroad station is closed too.
These areas haven’t opened yet today and Cast Members didn’t have any estimation on when they might reopen. One of them said that the Railroad station could be down all day.
The Walt Disney World Railroad is still running though, you just can only access it at the Fantasyland and Main Street stations.
