WEATHER ALERT: Severe Weather Including Golf Ball-Sized Hail at Disney World
If you’re spending the day at Walt Disney World you will want to be aware that severe weather is currently passing through the area. A Dangerous Thunderstorm Alert has been issued and will be in effect until at least 6:09 PM this evening.
According to the report, a thunderstorm with a significant rate of lightning could be moving through Disney. The storm has the potential to produce heavy rain, hail, frequent lightning, and damaging winds and should be considered dangerous.
Our MickeyBloggers Greg and Elyssa are currently on the scene and have confirmed that high winds and hail are present.
Another alert above tells us that a severe thunderstorm has already been spotted near Bay Lake with golf ball-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts. People in the area are being advised to shelter inside as animals and people could be injured. The weather alert highlights potential damage to roofs, house siding, and trees.
