A Very Important Part of the Disney Treasure Just Arrived at the Shipyard!
Disney Cruise Line is a way that you can experience some Disney magic and sail on the high seas all at once. There are exclusive dining and entertainment options, themed voyages, and you can even visit Disney’s private Caribbean island!
Disney recently added the Disney Wish to their cruise ship lineup, but they’re not done! They will be adding the Disney Treasure to their fleet in 2024, and we just got an exciting update about the ship.
Disney Treasure Updates
The Disney Treasure’s forward funnel has arrived in Germany! It traveled from Poland all the way to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany (where the ship is being worked on).
Disney says that the funnel will “soon be secured in its rightful place atop the Disney Treasure and will be given a coat of shiny red paint to match the iconic Disney Cruise Line look.”
The forward funnel is important to the Treasure for a lot of different reasons.
First, it will be used in the AquaMouse — Disney’s attraction at sea! The attraction’s slide will run through the funnel.
The funnel will also be how you can watch Disney movies on the deck of the ship. The Funnel Vision screen by the family pool will let you take in those Disney classics!
Finally, the funnel will also be home to the EPCOT-themed Tomorrow Tower Suite.
This is the nearly 2,000-square-foot suite that looks like it’s going to be very luxurious, complete with “dynamic art pieces, molten metal accents and futuristic, colorful glass accents (that) will evoke the distinct atmosphere of EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood.”
