New Barge Added to EPCOT Lagoon for Upcoming Nighttime Spectacular
EPCOT has seen a lot of changes over the past few years. There are new neighborhoods, new rides, new lands, new restaurants, and more — It’s all part of EPCOT’s big transformation.
Throughout this time, EPCOT has also seen several different nighttime spectaculars. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth ended permanently, EPCOT Forever then temporarily took its place, then Harmonious debuted for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

Harmonious ended earlier this year and EPCOT Forever is once again happening while we await a new nighttime spectacular. And, we’ve seen some more progress on this new show!
Luminous Barges
Before the show was even announced, we noticed that new equipment was being brought into World Showcase Lagoon. Disney did tell us that a new show would be coming in honor of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary.

Disney then announced the name of the show at Destination D23 earlier this month. It will be called Luminous: The Symphony of Us.
The show isn’t debuting until December 5th of this year, so we still have a while to wait before we get to see it.

And, we continue to see progress on World Showcase Lagoon. Today, we noticed that another large barge was moved into the center of the lagoon.
The barge was right in front of the American Adventure Pavilion when we spotted it.
You can see a lot of lights set up on the poles of the barge, so this is probably going to be one of the lighting elements in the show.
