Nursery at EPCOT’s SeaBase Aquarium Finally Reopens!
A popular section of Walt Disney World has remained closed for several months. Today, Mickey Blog discovered that Nursery at EPCOT’s SeaBase Aquarium has finally reopened!
Seabase Aquarium
Disney invites Guests to, “Explore the magic and mystery of life under the sea at this ocean-themed destination, home to a fin-tastic aquarium.” The location features “spot sea turtles, reef fish, rays, sharks and more swimming through the 5.7-million-gallon habitat.”
This stunning aquarium is home to thousands of sea animals and is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on earth! There are two levels Guests can meander through.
The top features a viewing area with window-lined rooms. Surrounded by marine life, Guests love this undersea viewing spot, known as the Nursery.
Nursery at EPCOT
Several months ago, we reported that the location had closed for unknown reasons. We still aren’t sure what happened behind the scenes, because our Mickey Blogger didn’t see any noticeable changes.
Whatever the case, we’re glad it’s reopened! Let’s take a look at the Nursery as Guests pour in to enjoy all it has to offer!
A sign welcomes you to the dim-lit environment, which gives off immersive, undersea vibes!
It’s nice to see people enjoying the magnificent experience again. The tanks look stunning with crystal clear water, and colorful fish!
The Finding Solutions section features several beautiful screens lit up with ocean images. Facts about marine life educate Guests that, “we need the ocean and the ocean needs our help.”
Despite the Nursery’s reopening, the Aquaculture and Underwater Wonders area remained closed. A “Pardon Our Plankton” sign blocks off their entrance.
Apparently, the exhibit is preparing for a new aquatic species. We wonder what Disney is planning!
We are so excited that the Nursery at EPCOT’s SeaBase Aquarium has finally reopened after so many months. Head over to World Nature and check it out if you’re at the Parks!
