BREAKING NEWS: 50th Anniversary Magic Added To Disney World’s Electric Water Pageant
We’ve got some exciting news for those visiting Walt Disney World for Disney’s 50th Anniversary and it deals with an absolute classic- the Disney Electric Water Pageant!
Disney Parks took to Twitter this morning with a VERY special announcement and we couldn’t wait to share the good news:
The Electrical Water Pageant joins the fun of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” with new celebratory scenes featuring a version of the celebration anthem song, “The Magic is Calling,” bookending the full traditional show as it sails nightly. #DisneyWorld50 pic.twitter.com/fR5r0jnZna

That’s right, this beloved nighttime show taking place on Seven Seas Lagoon will be getting a very special 50th Anniversary makeover! It looks like new scenes (including the one you see above of Cinderella Castle all lit up complete with big “50”) is going to be added to the flotilla.
But this isn’t all, Disney teased that there will be new “celebratory scenes” which implies that there may be a few new additions!
The tweet also advises that the pageant will also feature a variation on “The Magic is Calling,” the new theme song of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
The news50th Anniversary scenes will serve as a “bookend” to the classic floats that guests have come to know and love over the last 50 years.
For those unfamiliar, the Electric Water Pageant is a procession of illuminated floats that takes place on the Seven Seas Lagoon nightly. It includes everything from a bright green sea monster to King Triton riding on a chariot pulled by sea horses. The pageant is also known for its medley of patriot songs as well as it’s countless lights casting a beautiful shimmer on the water.
