Neil Patrick Harris Takes on Role of ‘Doctor Who’ Baddie
We’ve got some Disney-related news for all you Doctor Who fans! A brand new trailer is out for the upcoming science-fiction show season with a cult-like following. Doctor Who is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with special episodes and the big baddie from the program is none other than Neil Patrick Harris. The actor and avid Disney fan is taking on the role of the Toymaker, a popular villain harkening all the way back to the 1966 season of Doctor Who.
The excitement of Doctor Who fans is already at a fever pitch with the news that David Tennant and Catherine Tate would be reprising their roles as the Doctor and Donna Noble in the upcoming special.
The new trailer also features Yasmin Finney, who is playing Donna’s daughter Rose, and Ncuti Gatwa, who is set to take over the role of the Doctor from Tennant.
The Doctor Who 60th-anniversary special episodes will premiere on Disney+ in November. Watch the new trailer above.
Neil Patrick Harris has previously served as a celebrity narrator in EPCOT’s Candlelight Professional. He got his start as the main character in ABC’s Doogie Howser M.D.and for Disney hosted the California Screamin’ attraction at Disney California Adventure. He’s also made appearances in Take Two Phineas and Ferb, The Muppets, The Legend of Tarzan and voiced Karre in Star Wars: Visions.

The Toymaker, also dubbed the Celestial Toymaker, the Crystal Guardian and the Mandarin is a powerful being who traps people into playing childish games with their freedom as the stakes. Since the Toymaker hates to lose, you can expect the games to be rigged in his favor.
