9 Awesome Easter Eggs in the Film ‘Free Guy’
Moms and dads, I don’t know about you but Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds is on constant rotation at my house! If you kids are equally as obsessed with this film than next time its on in your home than we can make it a fun scavenger hunt!
For those unfamiliar, the adventure-comedy features Reynolds as Guy, a bank teller who, after discovering he’s actually a background player in an MMORPG decides to become the hero of his own story…one that he writes himself.
Thanks to our friends at D23, Disney’s Official Fan Club, here are a handful of awesome Easter Eggs to be on the lookout for. See how many of these you can find!
1. Next time you watch the film (which is currently on Disney+ btw, see if you can find an Avenger’s Infinity War poster on a character’s bedroom wall!
2. Captain America’s infamous shield also makes an appearance. Let’s see if you can find it.

3. In addition to Captain’s shield, let’s see if you can see Hulk’s hand hidden in the film.
4. Here’s one for all you gamers. Be on the lookout for the Thanos dance! (Listen closely and you may even hear some familiar Avengers-related theme music!
6. There’s no shame in being self referential! Let’s see if you can find the Deadpool poster!
7. What’s this? There’s a figurine depicting Jack Skellington from 1993’s Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Can you find it?
8. At one point Guy helps out a little girl. On closer inspection, her dress looks strikingly similar to the one worn by Anna in Disney’s Frozen.
9. We’ll end on an easy one! Be on the lookout for the point in the movie where Guy wields Luke Skywalker’s Blue Lightsaber!
