Report: Mandalorian Season 3 Drop Date
LRMonline says to expect the third season of Mando in Spring 2022….
While we have heard quite a bit about The Book of Boba Fett, there have been dust motes flying for The Mandalorian Season 3.
LRMonline.com, purveyors of many a scoop, pulled this one out of the dustbin. And, if true, it should make most “Star Wars” fans pretty happy.
So, grab the Swiffer and settle in – we’re about to clean up.
This is The Way (To Season 3)
In his “Barside Buzz” column, LRM’s Shockey posted:
Some more information has come out that leads us to believe that the third season of The Mandalorian will be coming sooner rather than later. According to a released listing for a new Boba Fett graphic novel from Edelweiss+, there is some information that suggests that The Mandalorian season 3 will be debuting in the spring of 2022. This might sound crazy for some fans since there hasn’t been a formal announcement that filming has begun for the new season of The Mandalorian.”
Frankly, it does sound crazy, but only because I am shocked at how the leak happened.
Two words: Children’s books. Yep, you read correctly.
Looking at the Calendar
Moreover, LRMonline.com explained that a Reddit user (Dentface) posted links to the publisher’s description, two in fact, both of which point to information that Hollywood trade insiders would’ve loved to uncover.
But, there it was in black & white (and blue).
Above is a thumbnail, but go check out the full post on LRMonline.com.
By the way, Shockey added, “These listings are supposed to be industry-only and not available to the public. These types of children’s graphic novels and books are released relatively in the same timeframe the shows are.”
Meanwhile, LRM also posted a mock schedule, which plotted Boba Fett (Dec. 2021), Andor (Feb. 2022), Mando (May 2022), and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Aug. 2022) on the calendar.
Okay, so I will be honest, I thought twice about all of this, but I went to another trusted Star Wars source, and they thought this was on the up-and-up.
So, fingers crossed. Because that mock schedule looks great to this observer of a galaxy far, far away.
