Obi-Wan Kenobi: Wearing A Black Robe On Set?
Just kidding: Ewan McGregor wore a black cover-up as he walked from his dressing room to the set of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi….
The UK paparazzi are really, really good at capturing stuff they’re not supposed to photograph.
Case in point, Ewan McGregor traversing the space from his dressing room to the set of Disney Plus’ Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi show.
Hello There
The Daily Mail explained:
Ewan McGregor was seen for the first time on set of the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series for Disney+.
Though diehard fans have seen the 50-year-old actor in his iconic costume before, the crew made sure his new ensemble was kept under wraps as he wore a long black trench coat over it while heading to the soundstage.
Recently, we’ve been following the many projects being filmed in the UK, but this is the first mention of the Obi-Wan show in a bit.
So we’re very pleased to see McGregor wearing any sort of robe, Jedi or not, as he prepares to film scenes for the upcoming series.

Of course, Ewan has already told audiences that his kit will be a bit different in the series.
“It was good; it feels great,” said McGregor to ABC’s late-night host Jimmy Kimmel back in May. “The costume’s probably slightly different, you know? [Different] Than you might expect, so – but to go back into the role, shall we say, is great.
“It’s all still there. It feels good.”
Costuming A Legend
Certainly, there are differences between Obi-Wan’s costume in A New Hope:
And that of Kenobi in Revenge of the Sith:
Time will tell, or maybe paparazzi will tell, what the in-between will look like.
“May the Force be with you, always…”
