Disney Character Dining is a fun, stress-free way to meet some your favorite Disney characters during your Disney vacation. You don’t have to wait in any lines or stand in the heat. You simply enjoy a well-cooked meal and the characters come to you! There are many restaurants that provide character dining opportunities. If you’d like to meet some characters hassle free, then I suggest choosing one of these amazing options below. Each one is unique and fit for the whole family.
1900 Park Fare
1900 Park Fare is a Buffet/Family style Disney character dining. Here you can eat breakfast and dinner in an old-fashioned carousel themed restaurant located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The décor is adorable, and they have some unique characters that you won’t see at other character dining locations.
At Breakfast enjoy a variety of baked goods, fruits, and other various breakfast items while the tables are visited by Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter, Tigger, and Winnie the Pooh.
At dinner, you can choose from an assortment of salads, soups (including the infamous strawberry soup!), meats, veggies, create your own pasta, and finally desserts! Then while you’re enjoying your food you’ll be visited by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and the Wicked Stepsisters.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Akershus is a great Disney character dining experience! It offers a unique blend of buffet and family style dining and is located within a medieval castle…and a castle wouldn’t be complete without Disney Princesses! Enjoy delicious food while being visited by Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Mulan, and Aurora.
Akershus is located in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
For breakfast you are served scrambled eggs, cheese potatoes, bacon, and sausage family style. There’s a buffet filled with fruits, fish, cheese, and pastries. For lunch and dinner dine on a meat and cheese appetizer tray followed by your choice of authentic Norwegian dishes (and American for those picky eaters) and end it with an assortment of Norwegian-inspired desserts.

Cape May Café
Come visit Disney’s Beach Club Resort for an unforgettable Beach Bash Breakfast where you can meet Minnie, Donald, and Goofy! Cape May Cafe is New England themed and serves up a delicious array of breads, fruits, salads, omelets, potatoes, and of course bacon. This restaurant should be on everyone’s bucket list for great Disney character dining!

Chef Mickey’s
Join Chef Mickey and his friends Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto for a wonderfully delicious buffet at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Join these five friends for a fun and exciting breakfast or dinner and dine on a variety of southern inspired dishes and a sundae bar! This is one of the most popular character meals at Disney World, so make sure to book that reservation as early as possible.

Cinderella’s Royal Table
Enjoy a regal signature dining experience inside of Cinderella Castle! Join Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, and Snow White for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For breakfast enjoy pastries, fruit, and orange juice then take your pick of a delicious entrée. For lunch and dinner enjoy a three-course meal starting with divine appetizers and ending with decadent desserts.

The Crystal Palace
Set in a green house inspired building, complete with character topiaries, here you can join Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger too for a buffet you’ll never forget. Located in Magic Kingdom on Main Street U.S.A. this beautiful restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with our Hundred Acre Wood friends.
For breakfast enjoy pastries, fruit, potatoes, eggs, sausage, and literally any other breakfast food you can imagine including Pooh’s breakfast lasagna…sounds delicious! For lunch and dinner feast on breads, salads, veggies, pastas, and meats…oh and don’t forget desserts.

Garden Grill Restaurant
At Epcot’s Garden Grill restaurant, you can spot two rare characters…. namely Chip and Dale. They can be seen along with farmer Mickey and Pluto. At this restaurant you’ll enjoy family style servings. What makes this restaurant one of a kind is that it spins…slowly of course, but enjoy the changing scenery while you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
For breakfast enjoy southern comforts like biscuits and gravy! And for lunch and dinner dine of carved meat, veggies, and mashed potatoes.

Hollywood & Vine
This dining experience is located in Hollywood Studios and has a few things to set it apart from the rest. First, are the characters. Here you’ll get to meet Disney Junior characters like Handy Manny, Agent OSO, and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Second, is the dessert buffet.
The dessert buffet here is unlike any other with a variety of desserts you won’t find anywhere else which includes a chocolate fountain…need I say more? The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

‘Ohana
Another couple of unique characters can be found during breakfast at ‘Ohana! Located in the Polynesian Resort here you can meet Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. Breakfast is served family style and just like a buffet you can keep asking for more. The food here is also unique. They serve traditional American breakfast that has traces of Polynesian influence. I suggest the pineapple coconut bread because it is fantastic.

Trattoria al Forno
This is a lesser known character dining where you can meet not only princesses, but also princes! Come on down to Disney’s Boardwalk for the Bon Voyage Breakfast where you’ll meet Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider. The restaurant is casual dining, so a tray of pastries will be brought to the table to share and then you’ll have your choice of an appetizer and an entrée. The food is wonderful and as both unique and classic breakfast options.

Tusker House
Last, but certainly not least is Tusker House located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here you can dine with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy all dressed up to go on safari! The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serves of African style cuisine. The atmosphere is fun and unique, and the food is delicious. Try Tusker House on your next Disney vacation for an amazing Disney character dining experience!
*It is important to mention that each restaurant has kid friendly choices and well as choices for picky eaters. Each meal ranges from $15 to over $60 depending on the restaurant, time of day, and age of each guest. Also note that characters are subject to change, but for the most part stay the same.

Hello Disney Fans! Janie here. I was a Disney kid growing up and now that I am an adult I love it even more. Whether its movies, music, parks, or games I just can’t get enough of it. I visit Disney World at least twice a year and even when I’m not there it’s all I can think about! My favorite part about Disney is how it brings out the inner child in everyone and I hope that by sharing my love of Disney I’ll be inspiring others to visit and take part in the Disney magic!
