NEWS: TRON Currently Down for Cast Member Previews in Disney World
UPDATE: As of early afternoon on February 10th, TRON resumed operating.
Although TRON Lightcycle Run doesn’t open to the public until April 4th, 2023, Cast Members currently have the opportunity to preview the ride!
A few of our MickeyBlog team members were eligible for previews and we’ve taken you along with us for the ride (no pun intended), breaking down the new locker system, the ride vehicles, motion sickness, and more — but here’s why Cast Members with preview rides might have trouble experiencing TRON today, February 10th.
TRON is Currently Closed
If you want to get an interesting view of TRON, we recommend riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, which we happened to ride today when we noticed a long line of Cast Members waiting for TRON.
In fact, we realized that TRON has not been running in Magic Kingdom at all today!
Only Cast Members and a limited number of chosen friends/family members are currently eligible to ride TRON with reservations, but we’re keeping our eyes and ears open for any announcements regarding previews for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.
As for today, we’ll be watching TRON to see whether the ride eventually opens to those with reservations!
TRON opens to the public on April 4th with a virtual queue and an Individual Lightning Lane available for purchase. We highly recommend reading more about this before you visit Disney World.
