FULL GUIDE on the TRON Lightcycle / Run Storage Lockers in Disney World
Cast Member previews are underway for TRON Lightcycle / Run and we’re back with more info!

TRON Lightcycle / Run
While the ride itself will not open to the public until April 4th, 2023, a few members of our MickeyBlog team were eligible to preview the ride — so we can give you ALL the info you need to know before it officially opens!
We’ve already given you a first look at the ride but now it’s time to take a closer look at a brand new feature of TRON — locker storage!
TRON Lockers
If you’ve ever ridden a thrill ride in Disney World, you’re probably familiar with the pouches on most ride vehicles for storing your items. They rely on physics to keep your belongings from flying out of the ride.
TRON, however, will use a different system.

Instead of allowing you to hold your bag at your feet or in your lap, you will be required to store your large items in a free locker.
We’re in line to get to our locker. The lockers are located in the queue and there are PLENTY 🥏#TronLightcycleRun pic.twitter.com/3iogUy7654

Within the queue, before boarding your ride vehicle, you will pass through an area containing lockers. These lockers can be accessed using your MagicBand or ticket, and if you have neither of those things a Cast Member will provide you with an access card.

Once you scan your MagicBand (or ticket or card), you can place your items inside! It’s as simple as that.
You’re allowed to take small hip or Fanny packs but larger items must be stowed in the lockers. Your MagicBand+ or hard ticket can unlock the locker.#TeonLightcycleRun pic.twitter.com/JjPsPlrsaO

You can keep small items with you, like your phone, keys, wallet, glasses, etc., and you can store them in the ride vehicle’s compartment. You can see it in our video below, and we could fit a wallet and lanyard in it just fine.
You cannot wear a crossbody bag on the ride, but you can wear a fanny pack secured around your waist.

Once you disembark the ride, you can access your locker again to retrieve your items!
