Joseph Quinn Says Joining ‘The Fantastic Four’ Was an “Easy Decision”
With the death of Iron Man and the end of Chris Evans’s run as Captain America, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) entered a new era following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
While the premiere cinematic franchise emerged from the Infinity Saga with continued success, 2023 was a particularly difficult year for Marvel.
Following the failures of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels at the box office, Marvel is being more selective in the content it creates and slowing down its release schedule. Luckily, however, reinforcements are on the way.
Enter The Fantastic Four
The long-awaited arrival of The Fantastic Four in the MCU is just around the corner. While a variant of Reed Richards was included in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the First Family of Marvel will make their proper MCU debut when The Fantastic Four is released on July 25, 2025.
While we don’t know a ton about the film’s plot (it will seemingly be set in the 1960s), we do know who Marvel has tasked with bringing the iconic superhero team back to the big screen.
Under the watchful eye of WandaVision’s Matt Shakman, the MCU Fantastic Four will be made up of Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing). Needless to say, fans are excited.
Joseph Quinn Says Joining ‘The Fantastic Four’ Was a “Easy Decision”
Following the release of a new poster featuring his character, Joseph Quinn discussed his inclusion in The Fantastic Four. According to the actor, joining the franchise was a no-brainer.
“It’s mad. I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it. We have a great gang,” Quinn said at Facts Comic-Con (via @Pajaritobluu on X). “When I spoke to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this, and the gang that we have, it was an easy decision. I definitely wanted to be a part of it.”

Like Quinn, Pedro Pascal has also publically stated how excited he is to be joining The Fantastic Four. Shakman and his task will have their work cut out for them. However, should they deliver a strong Fantastic Four movie, the MCU will once again reign supreme.
