Pedro Pascal Says Joining ‘The Fantastic Four’ Is “Unbelievable”
Pedro Pascal is getting ready to trade in his Mandalorian armor for an elastic super suit for next year’s The Fantastic Four.
After years of waiting, the First Family of Marvel is set to make their debut in The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and excitement is understandably through the roof.
Earlier this month, Marvel revealed that Pascal will star as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic alongside Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joe Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) in the Matt Shakman film.
Pedro Pascal Talks ‘The Fantastic Four’
At last weekend’s SAG Awards, Pascal was asked how he felt about joining the MCU for The Fantastic Four. Quick to highlight his castmates, Pascal admitted that he was thrilled.
“I can tell you how excited I am which is beyond, there isn’t anything more exciting than being in a cast like that, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joe Quinn, and our director Matt Shakman. To be invited to a family like that is unbelievable, and we all just want to do our best and share it with the world.”
While we don’t know much about the plot of The Fantastic Four, by the looks of the early promotional material, the film will be set in the 1960s. Additionally, reports have indicated that Galactus, not Doctor Doom, will serve as the film’s primary antagonist. Interestingly, Pascal will not be the first actor to portray Reed Richards in the MCU, as John Krasinski played a variant of the character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Production on The Fantastic Four will get underway this year, with the film set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
