Pre Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Banners Return to Cinderella Castle
Recently, we shared that celebratory decorations were removed from Magic Kingdom Park. Now, pre Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary banners have returned to Cinderella Castle.
The process began with the moat being drained. Scaffolding was placed inside as work commenced.
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Banners
In honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, Mary Blair banners were added to the castle. Enchanting designs featured a completely different look from the beloved artist.
Various banners showcased magical images from Cinderella. Some were pink with swirls, adorned with the 50th logo and bluebirds.
Others donned Cinderella’s coach and scenes from inside and outside of the castle.
Now, the former banners have returned. Let’s take a closer look at their design.
Pre Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Banners Return
Simple, yet classic, the banners feature a color scheme of blue, purple, and gold.
As you can see, they’ve been hung across the various turrets.
The center, blue portion of the banner is adorned with a golden lion and a crown.
The purple portions contain gold embellishments.
Additionally, gold lining gives the banners a regal look.
There are several banners scattered across Cinderella Castle and the castle’s courtyard.
Although Disney100 is underway, Disney World chose not to opt for a new design.
While small tributes have been added across all four Parks, EPCOT is the source of the celebration.
The main festivities will arrive at the Park later this year. (Check out our guide for assistance in planning.)
Although the 50th is over, the 100th has begun! We’re sad to see the celebratory banners leave Cinderella Castle, but happy for what’s to come at Walt Disney World Resort.
There’s a lot to look forward to!
