Final ‘Signs’ of COVID Removed from Walt Disney World
While this photo below might not look much more than a fantastic photo of the entrance to the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, it means so much more in terms of the COVID pandemic. It marks the first time in 2.5 years that no COVID warning signs were posted at the entrances to Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs.
In effort to move into a post-COVID world, Walt Disney World has officially removed all COVID warning sings across property. Up until today, Guests were greeted by the following sign when entering their favorite theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.
This photo is of one sign we snapped from the day Disney Springs reopened back in May 2020:
These signs stated:
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, our other guests, and cast members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Walt Disney World.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By visiting Walt Disney World, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Help keep each other healthy and safe.
It’s crazy to think how far Walt Disney World has come within the past 2.5 years. We went from very limited operating hours and mask mandates to several attractions and restaurants being closed to celebrating the reopening of most restaurants, the return of Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, as well as the reopening of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique later this month – just to name a few!
Oh, and we’ve also been able to toss those masks aside!
The removal of these signs (hopefully once and for all) signals the end of the COVID-era chapter when it comes to Walt Disney World. Make sure to keep it here with us at MickeyBlog.com as we continue to report on exciting re-openings and other news as Disney returns to “normal!”
