FIRST LOOK at the Animatronic Characters Coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom — the ride is scheduled to open this summer at Disney World. The attraction is also being worked on over at Disneyland park, but we don’t have any details about when it’s going to be completed other than sometime this year.
We’ve been keeping a very close eye on the work on the attraction in Disney World, like ride testing and new additions, and we’ve even gotten to see some of what to expect inside that giant mountain! And now, we’ve got a sneak peek at some of the animatronics coming soon to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Animatronics
Disney has released a new Imagineering series on YouTube, and the first episode is all about their Audio-Animatronics. We learned about a lot of the ones coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Disney is calling their Audio-Animatronics figures for this attractions their most advanced yet! They shared a closer look at Princess Tiana…
…Mama Odie…
…Louis…
…Charlotte…
…Ralphie…
…Byhalia…
…and Juju.
The Imagineers spoke in depth on how they’ve been creating these characters. With Tiana, they spoke about how the engineer and costume designer have to work in sync to make sure one aspect isn’t negatively affecting the other.
For example, a costume could limit Tiana’s range of motion, or some of her movements could make the costume bunch up.
We got a very close look at how Louis came to life! Check him out before he had his full costume on.
His animatronic looks very advanced — almost all the different parts of him move, even his belly!
He’s also just ginormous!
And, his movements look so realistic.
It was very cool to get to see what these characters are going to look like in the ride!
They look like they’re going to be a lot of fun!
