BREAKING: Imagineer Charita Carter Spotted Testing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
As we get closer and closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom, the attraction has reached another milestone.
Today, when visiting Frontierland, we spotted Imagineers once again testing the upcoming attraction, and this time, they were joined by Charita Carter.
The Women Behind the Upcoming Attraction
For those who don’t know, Carter is the Imagineer who spearheaded the transformation of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
After working as an accountant for Imagineering for two years, Carter made the transition to the creative side of the department, working on the update of Snow White’s Scary Aventure and Indiana Jones Adventure.

She would eventually be asked to lead the team that created Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway before being tasked with the creation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
“I am extremely honored to have this responsibility,” she says. “It’s hard work. And yes, I am nervous because I feel every day the weight of what it is that we are doing. But we have put together an amazing team of people. We are working with so many consultants and just really encouraging everybody who is touching this attraction to be curious, and to be humble and be open to learning, expanding on ways that we can tell this story,” she explained.

“We are building upon what was done with the animated film. We’re telling a next chapter story. We have this beautiful opportunity to give the character of Tiana depth and a dimensional space. I’m honored and excited. And I just feel like, ‘Yes, I’m ready. Let’s do this.’”
Imagineers Seen Testing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Today, Carter and her fellow Imagineers looked to be all smiles as they tested out the upcoming Frontierland attraction.
By the look of things, they were the only group on the ride.
After overseeing the project from concept art to construction to now testing, this is certainly a special moment for Carter. Additionally, it is an important milestone for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
