After Bob Iger Announces Nothing at the Disney Annual Meeting, Josh D’Amaro Follows Suit
Following today’s rather anti-climatic Walt Disney Company annual meeting, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, took to the Disney Parks Blog to further elaborate on the experiences that the company has in development.
While Bob Iger failed to announce any new projects during today’s meeting, he did give a new look at the Avatar experience in development for Disneyland.

While we still don’t know a ton about the Avatar attractions coming to Disney, D’Amaro re-affirmed that Disney is excited about the projects they have in mind.

“We were thrilled to unveil a piece of inspirational artwork developed for a potential new Avatar experience at the Disneyland Resort. We are excited about the stories our guests could experience at Walt’s original theme park destination after approval of DisneylandForward – including the chance to experience all-new Avatar adventures with a visit to Pandora,” he wrote.
D’Amaro Highlights Recent Disney Projects
Outside of Avatar, D’Amaro highlighted a series of projects that have been completed recently. These included the World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland and Zootopia at Shanghai Disney Resort.

Looking forward, the Disney Experience chairman also highlighted Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the upcoming Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disneyland, the new Frozen-themed land at Walt Disney Studios Parks, and new additions to the Disney Cruise Line.
“And all of this is just the beginning – there are so many stories in our library yet to be explored,” D’Amaro concluded.
“As we turbocharge Disney Experiences over the next 10 years, we’re investing aggressively and thoughtfully to give you more of what you love. There has never been a more exciting time at Disney Experiences. I’m looking forward to having you on this journey with us.”

While D’Amaro’s summary sounded nice, for Disney fans, today was a letdown. Hopefully, the company will have more to show for itself at the upcoming D23: The Ultimate Fan Event.
