Back in February of 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger teased that Avatar would be heading to Disney California Adventure, and it has continued to be unclear what this experience may entail. Will it be a temporary exhibit? A fully realized land? Well, we have a bit more insight now!
New “Avatar Experience” Concept Art
During the 2024 Annual Shareholders Meeting, Bob Iger revealed new concept art for the “Avatar experience.”
He did not share any more details about the experience, but you can look below to judge for yourself.

At first, to us, it kind of looked like a bunch of people staring at a giant screen, but if you look closer you can see people in the boat on the water, and others standing on what appears to be a bridge on the right side of the screen.
One of our team members suggested it looks like it could be an outdoor version of Na’vi River Journey!

Note that this is just a POSSIBLE look for the experience — in fact, Iger referred to this concept art as “creative inspiration for this possible new destination.”
