One ‘X-Men’ Star Says He is Not Returning For ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
With Deadpool & Wolverine set to once again bring together the Marvel multiverse, the film is being set up to include numerous cameos from Fox’s X-Men films.
“There are a lot of surprises,” Deadpool star Karan Soni revealed earlier this week, “Let’s just say a lot of people traveled to London.”

So far, we know that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine, Aaron Stanford will return as Pyro, and Patrick Stewart has hinted that Professor X may be involved.

While we may not know all the characters returning for Deadpool & Wolverine, we can scratch one name off the list.
Vinnie Jones’s Juggernaut Will Not Appear in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’
Vinnie Jones, who portrayed the Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, recently told Yahoo UK that he will not appear in the film despite being asked to reprise his role in Deadpool & Wolverine.

“Funnily enough, I just got asked to do ‘Deadpool,’ the new one now, and I spoke to the director, and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on, you know. Mentally and physically. I mean, it had its mental toll as well because you’re in it, and you can’t do anything all day. You can only drink through a straw,” he explained.
In the end, Jones and the Deadpool team could not come to an agreement. By the sound of things, however, there are no hard feelings.

“So we couldn’t strike the deal for ‘Deadpool.’ I mean, ‘Deadpool’s my favorite movie of all f****** time, more or less. I really wanted to do it, but they didn’t have the budget to put me in the suit.”
A Different Juggernaut Appeared in ‘Deadpool 2’
While Juggernaut appeared in Deadpool 2, that version was an entirely CGI character voiced by Ryan Reynolds. With Jones passing on reprising his X-Men role, the CGI version of the character may return.

Still, as Jones was famously unhappy with how much his role was cut down in the third X-Men movie, it would have been cool to see him get a moment to shine.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
