Photos: Is EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall Closer to Opening?

Walt Disney World has experienced a lot of construction lately. Everything from up-and-coming attractions to new DVC details to restaurant updates and more.

Change is good- and there is a lot of it happening right now.

EPCOT Construction

One area that is undergoing quite a bit of change is over at EPCOT. The multi-year transformation continues, and hopefully, the end is in sight.

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza was pushed back to open sometime this year, and we are ready. It looks like the construction is moving along, and we have more updates to share.

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza Updates

It is a great day to be visiting the parks! It is a little cloudy and the temperature is perfect.

Our reporting team is visiting EPCOT this morning and captured these great photos from the Monorail.

We stopped by World Celebration to check out the newest updates at CommuniCore Hall, and our team noticed some new details at the CommuniCore Plaza Stage.

Here is a quick refresher of what the stage will look- the original Disney concept art looks amazing.

And we are so excited to see the transformation each day. Here is a great look:

You can see that a Spaceship Earth design has been added.

Look closely at the bottom of the stage. The new design matches the look and texture of Spaceship Earth.

More Changes Spotted

In addition, some of the surrounding walkways and paths have been paved.

And more of the walls are forming.

Our team captured some great photos from inside the park and on the Monorail loop.

This progress means we are that much closer (hopefully) to the  opening of this area, though no official date has been announced. 

We are so excited for this area’s transformation and it’s offerings. The new pavilion includes a special meet and greet location, a demo kitchen, art gallery, and bar.

The stage will be a hot spot for amazing concerts and live performances.

And guests can view these performances from both sides of the stage for an amazing experience.

Located in World Celebration, this is just one of EPCOT’s neighborhoods including World Showcase, World Nature, and World Discovery. 

CommuniCore Hall is just one of the new experiences highlighting the authenticity and innovation of EPCOT.
