Work Continues on the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Semaphore Traffic Lights
Like any Disney park, the magic of Disney’s Hollywood Studios lies in the details.
However, as the park has continued to move away from its Golden Age of Hollywood theme, many of the small tributes to Tinseltown’s past have been unceremoniously removed.

In the last 20 years, we have seen the loss of the Television Academy Hall of Fame, the Citizens of Hollywood, and the unique merchandise of Sid Cahuenga.

Still, it is hard to walk down Hollywood Avenue or Sunset Boulevard and not have a smile on your face.
The Semaphore Traffic Lights Add Old Fashioned Charm
One of my favorite details in this area of the park is the old-fashioned traffic lights found at most intersections. Switching from red to green, these traffic lights are small details, but they help tell the story and make Hollywood Avenue and Sunset Boulevard feel like living, breathing places.
Today, however, when visiting the park, we noticed that the stoplights at the corner of Hollywood and Sunset and in front of Celebrity 5 & 10 are missing.
While the poles are still present, the toppers have been removed.
Fortunately, it seems Disney is just giving the stoplights a little TLC.
Refurbished Traffic Lights Return
The traffic light near Keystone Clothiers was previously missing and has since returned, as has the missing stoplight near the front of Hollywood Boulevard.
Both figures have been repainted and look great!
Not only do these traffic lights look good as new, but they also have received new bells.
In a park that’s constantly changing, it’s good to see that Disney still cares about the little things.
Hopefully, the now-missing traffic lights will return to Hollywood Avenue and Sunset Boulevard and continue to operate for years to come.
