Mickey Mouse Club Member and Shaggy Dog Star Tim Considine Has Passed Away
It is with a heavy heart that we here at MickeyBlog share the news that former Disney star Tim Considine has passed away at the age of 81.
Considine got his start appearing in the Mickey Mouse Club back in the 1950’s. He would go on to star as Frank Hardy in the Hardy Boys and as Mike in My Three Sons.
Considine came from a showbiz family with roots in vaudeville, theater and film. As The Sun tells us, his father John received an Oscar nomination for producing Boys Town and his mother was born to Alexander Pantages, an early film producer.
After his time with Disney, Tim would go on to guest star in programs including Bonanza, Johnny Ringo, Gunsmoke, Ironside, Medical Center, Cheyenne, Legend, The Untouchables, The Smith Family, and Simon & Simon.
In 2000, he made a cameo in a reboot of the series, entitled The New Adventures of Spin and Marty.
Considine would eventually give up acting and turned his attention to writing and photography. He took the iconic cover photo for Joni Mitchell’s Blue album.

Livingston continued, “Tim and I have been friends for more than 70 years. Our hearts go out to his wife, Willie and his son Christopher – and the entire Considine family.”
