Construction Continues on Mystery Structure in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Muppets fans have had a bit of a scare these past months as Muppets Courtyard has undergone a series of changes in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
But while their ill-fated Disney+ series The Muppets Mayhem was canceled after just one season, it seems Kermit and his friends can count on their home in Walt Disney World.
This week our team spotted visible progress on the exterior of the mystery structure going up in Muppets Courtyard.
And as the building takes shape, it seems more and more likely that the ongoing work is no threat to our favorite gang of kooky characters.
A New Snack Stand?
While the mystery structure is still largely hidden behind scrim, the top of the building is visible to guests. And from what we can see, new paint and a brick facade have been added to the structure.
Disney has not made an official statement on the intended purpose of the structure, but a new snack stand seems like a pretty good guess.
And with its location in Muppets Courtyard, Muppets fans are buzzing! Could the potential new snack stand mean Muppets-themed snacks on the horizon?
If so, we can only imagine what Kermit and his friends might have in store. If the Muppets-themed Brew-Wing Lab at this year’s EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is any indication, the sky is the limit!
Need a Muppets Fix?
We’ll have to be patient for official news on the Muppets Courtyard mystery structure.
But Muppets fans in need of a fix can find them at Muppet*Vision 3D in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The fan-favorite attraction remains open to guests despite the construction.
You’ll even enjoy brand-new seats!
