More Details Emerge For Muppets Jollywood Nights Show at Hollywood Studios
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that this was a HUGE week for details about the 2023 Walt Disney World holiday season! New for this year will be a special soiree happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios called Disney Jollywood Nights. During this special ticketed event there will be a whole host of incredible holiday activities and one that has Disney fans the most excited is a new Muppets “live holiday special”-esque show that will take place at the Theater of the Stars!
You’ll know Theater of the Stars as the location where Beauty and the Beast LIVE On Stage currently takes place.
Disney isn’t giving away too much about the show simply saying “The incomparable Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are special guests in an all-new stage show at Theater of the Stars featuring special appearances by guest stars Tiana, Belle, Minnie Mouse, and Mickey Mouse!” But it looks like theme park journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald managed to find out a bit more about this Muppets Jollywood production according to her recent tweets about the project:

As you can see from the post above, Tom Vazzana, Creative Director at Walt Disney World Resort said that Kermit and Miss Pigg will be “physically present” during the Muppets Jollywood production. During the same series of posts, Vazzana also revealed that there will be a live band on stage and the production will be reminiscent of a television variety show, we imagine in the same vein as The Muppet Show!

All of these festive details have us pretty darn excited. We are so delighted to see our beloved Muppets have more of a presence at Walt Disney World and hope that continues. Just last week, we shared the rumor that’s been circulating that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster may be re-imagined with a Muppets theme similar to the Disney+ show Muppets Mayhem which centers around Muppet rock band Electric Mayhem.

We expect more details to be revealed about the Muppets Jollywood Nights stage show in the lead-in to tickets for Disney Jollywood Nights going on sale! The soiree will take place over 10 select evenings from November 11 – December 20. Similar to previous Disney World theme park after-hours events, Jollywood Nights will take place from 8:30 pm – 12:30 am and will also feature eats and treats, throwback characters, the return of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! and more!
Tickets go on sale June 29, 2023.
