Blizzard Beach to Close This Weekend at Disney World
Closures at Disney World can really put a damper on your vacation. Some you can plan for, like if a ride is closed for refurbishment, while others are more unexpected.
Sometimes rides will shut down without warning due to technical difficulties or weather. And, weather looks like it’s going to be shutting down an entire park soon in Disney World.
Blizzard Beach Closed
Blizzard Beach will be closed on Saturday, December 16th and Sunday, December 17th.
This closure is likely due to the upcoming weather expected for around Disney World. On Saturday, there is going to be heavy rainfall with winds from 10-20 mph.
On Sunday, the chance of rain is lower but scattered thunderstorms are expected during the morning and winds will be between 15-20 mph with the possibility of higher wind gusts.
While rainy weather certainly brings less people to the parks, we’re sure being at a water park when it’s pouring isn’t much fun for anyone, even if the lines are short.
Blizzard Beach should be open again on Monday with hours from 10AM-5PM.
